IMO, Hollywood will be a big player in the future of the publishing industry. Cable and Studios will turn to self-pub’d works to meet the demand for new programming with lower acquisition/development costs. As e-readers evolve and become mini-entertainment centers more folks will download video of both full length, short film and episodic programming. The entertainment market will be very different. Social media will push self pub/ indie pub marketing and it will be predominately e-pub works. Pricing as we know it today will evolve greatly. I would equate it closer to the Apple model than the Amazon model. Indie pubs & self pubs companies will actually evolve into media companies.
